Our founder, Vicki “Ms.Vicki” Aguirre Cox has over 50 years of experience teaching people of all ages. Her passion is to teach from the heart while utilizing evidence based practices, which is at the heart of our curriculum.

Foundational Skill-Building

A child’s developmental journey stems from the understanding that a strong foundation in a child’s early years sets the stage for a successful life. At I’m Just a Kid, your child will leave us potty trained by 2, have the building blocks of vocalization and communication, be exposed to artistic and creative thinking, and more .

Vicki Aguirre Cox

Vicki “Ms.Vicki” Aguirre Cox has over 50 years of experience in public schools, non-profits, and institutions of higher learning. Her passion for early childhood education is rooted in the understanding that infant development creates the foundation for lifelong learning. 

When your child starts at I’m Just a Kid, we assess where they are developmentally (across all six areas of growth) so we know how to teach them. Then, once enrolled, they will be placed in a classroom with children who complement their skills so that they can get the love and attention they need to grow and develop.

REQUIREMENTS

1) High school diploma or GED

2) Clear background check

3) Drivers license or Identification

4) CDA

5) Experience in a licensed child care center

NICE TO HAVE

1) Five + years experience with children under 5 years old

We visited I’m Just a Kid after visiting 6 other early childhood centers and crying at the thought of leaving our first born after our leave was over!
